Canberra
The ASPP-APAC 2019 summer school is being held at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia.
Travel
Canberra airport (CBR) is served by several budget and mid-range airlines flying both domestic and international routes. The airport is roughly 10 kilometres from the Australian National University campus. It can be reached by taxi or public transport. The number 11 bus travels between the airport and ANU, and you can find more information about Canberra's public transport here. International flights can be sometimes cheaper via Sydney Airport, which is well connected to Canberra via a short three hours bus ride with Murrays.
Alternative cheaper and greener options are available via bus links to many major Australian cities. Check out greyhound and Murrays for trip options and timetables.
Accommodation
Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and transport.
This time of year Canberra is pretty empty and the cheapest option will be to look for a Airbnb. We are happy to arrange match-ups for group bookings as well. In addition, there is short stay student accommodation available on campus, as well as hotels, and other accommodation options.
Venue
The Research School of Biology (RSB) at the Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia, will open its doors and terraces to make this event refreshing and welcoming. Please look here at Google maps to find your way to the venue.
